Give your pet the gift of comfort
Animal massage is a growing practice employed to enhance the well-being of animals. It increases your pet’s ability to heal himself by supporting all the systems of the body.
Some of the benefits of pet massage are:
- Improved circulation
- Decreased inflammation
- Relief for stress-related injuries
- Improved flexibility and stability
- Support on an emotional level
- Stimulation of lymphatic system
Candidates for maintenance massage are:
- Companion animals
- Healthy athletic animals
- Geriatric pets
- Working animals in the normal course of duty
Candidates for rehabilitation massage include:
- Hospitalized pets
- Animals debilitated nutritionally
- Shelter animals
- Geriatric animals
- Confined animals
A massage plan relies on information gathered from the guardian or owner, the vet, physical therapist, acupuncturist, and any other caregivers who are involved in the pet’s health.
Reiki is part of the emerging field of energetic healing rediscovered from the wisdom and knowledge of ancient cultures for use in modern times. It heals at all levels and is always safe and comfortable for both animal and healer. It is gentle, non-invasive and stress-free.1

Heather Huel
CSAMP, is a certified small animal massage practitioner and Reiki II practitioner (through the Northwest School of Animal Massage). She offers sessions where it is most comfortable for the animal—your home, hers, or an alternate location. Reiki is also available from a distance. And there is growing evidence to acknowledge its value as a long-distance treatment.
